Mr. Jones is an Executive Vice President of Stern Brothers Valuation Advisors and has been involved in the areas of finance, accounting and business valuation since 1982. He began his career in finance with Allstate Insurance Company and joined Stern Brothers in 1984. He has served as Controller and Chief Financial Manager of a natural gas marketing, pipeline and exploration company (GasTrak Corporation).

Mr. Jones has achieved some of the highest professional designations awarded in the business valuation profession. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”), an Accredited Senior Appraiser (“ASA”), and a Certified Business Appraiser (“CBA”). Mr. Jones has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Kansas.
Experience
Mr. Jones performs appraisal and consulting assignments on a regular basis averaging at least 40 each year. Mr. Jones is the past President and past Treasurer of the American Society of Appraisers (Kansas City Chapter). He is a member of numerous professional and civic organizations and associations including the American Society of Appraisers, the CFA Institute and The Institute of Business Appraisers. He has appeared in court as an expert witness concerning valuation issues.
